Pamela is a legal consultant specialising in the investment funds management industry within Europe. Pamela is a graduate of The University of New South Wales (BA/LLB). She has been admitted to practise as a Solicitor in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and in England and Wales. The first ten years of her career was as a Solicitor and, subsequently, a partner at a major commercial law firm in New South Wales, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, insurance law and corporate transactions.
Pamela then spent over 17 years in the United Kingdom working in the investment funds management industry.Her initial years in the UK were as General Counsel and Company Secretary with Tyndall Holdings PLC which included serving as Company Secretary for publicly listed investment trust companies as well as having responsibility for legal and regulatory compliance and human resources. Pamela then joined Fidelity Investments International (an international investment funds management group with assets under management in excess of US$1.7 trillion). Her roles there included Director of Legal and Compliance, Director of Legal Services Europe and, ultimately, Executive Director, Legal Services covering Europe, Middle East and Africa where she led a large team of legal, compliance and company secretarial professionals. During her years at Fidelity Investments, Pamela was also a director of the UK holding company as well as serving on many committees dealing with strategic development, risk management, compliance and oversight.
Pamela has been a member of the Law Society (NSW), the Law Society (England and Wales) the Institute of Directors (UK), the Compliance Institute (UK) and the Association of Corporate Counsel Europe (ACCE). Pamela served on the board of ACCE for 4 years and was the Vice President of this organisation in 2002.
Since returning to Australia, Pamela has served on the board of the Stalker Theatre Company (2005-2006) and joined the board of Ausdance NSW in 2007.
