QUEEN STREET STUDIO is proud to announce MARTIN DEL AMO as our next guest artist for the Toolkit 08 program.
“The workshop is an investigation into integrating dance with spoken text. Each session will consist of two parts. First, there will be a warm up training that focuses on sensitising spatial and speed-related awareness as well as heightening coordination skills and physical fitness. The second part is dedicated to the exploration of various improvisational and compositional strategies relating to contemporary physical performance and dance practices. The focus will be on improvisation within predetermined structures and the interplay between physical and vocal scores.” – Martin Del Amo
Workshops take place every Wednesday night throughout June (4th, 11th, 18th and 25th) from 6pm-9pm at Queen Street Studio, L2, 12-16 Queen St, Chippendale.
The workshop cost $125.00 (4-week block) for members of Queen Street Studio; or $180 ($160 for full-time students).
TOOLKIT fees have been kept as low as possible and are subsidised by Queen Street Studio; a non-profit creative development and rehearsal space run by artists for artists. All fees received go to paying the guest artist and for the use of the space.
