Campbelltown Arts Centre is engaging freelance theatre director & CCD artist, Karen Therese as it’s resident artist to undertake research for a new work entitled The Riot Act. Karen & a highly skilled team of professional artists will explore broad notions surrounding communities that have experienced social unrest, including Redfern, Blacktown & Macquarie Fields, for the creative development of The Riot Act. As part of the residency, the artists will engage with young people & community organisations from Campbelltown through workshops & focus groups. There will be a Performance Showing of the work in progress, featuring storytelling, new media and physical theatre.
