Teacher Enrichment Day - July 12th 2010
Australia’s first Torres Strait Island Dance kit for schools, produced by Treading the Pathways, was launched on Tuesday 4th May 2010 in The Mabo Room of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Studies (AIATSIS), Canberra.
Lagaw Gub - Island Wind showcases the dances and songs of Dennis Newie, from St Paul Mua Island.
Treading the Pathways and Dennis Newie have organised workshops so as Teachers can learn, and then teach, the dances and songs in a Culturally appropriate manner.
Come along and experience Australian Indigenous Culture through dance and the Kala Lagaw Ya language of the Torres Strait.

Time: 9am – 4pm (8:30am registration)
Cost: $200 per participant.
