SURRY DANCE - Contemporary Movement Classes - A hip introduction to the physics & concepts of 21st Century dance.
Fresh from assisting choreographer Doug Elkins in NYC with training & auditioning dancers for the new season of Fraulein Maria, a "brilliantly twisted" version of the Sound of Music, Charemaine Seet is back in Sydney to teach contemporary dance. Her style is an ultra-modern fusion of Contemporary, Capoeira, Yoga, Contact Improv, Hip Hop, Ballet & Baroque. Classes are held on wooden SPRUNG floors at the Surry Hills Community Centre (405 Crown St). Charemaine initiates students into contact improv, inversions & partnering with a practised & safe approach.
NEWS: Charemaine is starting to teach bits of repertoire that she has performed in NYC & the UK.
Charemaine was a soloist & choreographer in London & NYC. She has performed at venues like the South Bank Centre, BAM, the Joyce, and the Royal Opera House.
Limited spaces are available on Sundays & Wednesdays. Classes are for adults, teens, and children.
