Congratulations to Sue Healey - Robert Helpmann Scholarship 2009

NSW Choreographer and dance film-maker Sue Healey has been awarded the prestigious Robert Helpmann Scholarship for 2009.

This award is offered biennially by the NSW Government to assist a professional dancer or choreographer to further develop their career.

The award of $30,000 will allow Healey to undertake professional development in Europe and research for a new series of works, The Curiosities. She will also provide mentorship for several NSW dance artists.

Healey is well known for her work as a performer, educator, choreographer and dance-film maker.

Her works have won awards in Australia and internationally, most recently Outstanding Achievement in Dance Film at the Australian Dance Awards 2008.
