Dear Dance enthusiast
You may be aware that leading theatre company Complicite is currently in Sydney on tour from London. After touring Europe and the US for two years, their acclaimed show A Disappearing Number opened at Sydney Theatre this week.
(more info is available at http://www.sydneytheatre.org.au/event.asp?pID=171 ).
As part of their engagement with the artistic community in Sydney, senior artists from Complicite are holding a range of workshops. On Tuesday November 25 at 10am - 12pm, acclaimed Indian actor and dancer Divya Kasturi will be leading a workshop in South Indian Dance at the Bangarra studios, Pier 4/5 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay.
The workshop is free and is open to all interested artists with a basic level of training and expertise. As we expect demand to be quite high, attendance will be on a strictly first in, best dressed basis.
Please email Amy Satchell at asatchell@sydneytheatre.com.au by midday on Monday November 24 if you would like to attend, including a 'phone number on which we can contact you or leave a message during the day. If demand proves overwhelming, a second workshop may be scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday November 26 from 2pm so in your email, please indicate if you are able to slot into this overflow workshop if it is scheduled.
Kind regards,
Jo Dyer |
