ReelDance Director Position

ReelDance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director to take on this exciting curatorial position in a growing organisation.

ReelDance is an internationally recognised arts organisation supporting innovative creative practice that works across disciplinary boundaries at the cutting edge of dance, film and new media art. Our flagship event is the biennial ReelDance International Dance on Screen Festival and its allied tour across Australia and New Zealand. Other activities include professional development for those working in the field of dance screen through workshops and forums, creating distribution opportunities for Australian dance filmmakers, and curated programs of single and multi-screen works for exhibitions and other festivals.

The Director is responsible for
* developing, in conjunction with the Committee, the organisation's strategic vision and implementing it

* leading and managing the organisation, and ensuring its successful operation

* providing an artistic vision for ReelDance, within the organisation's charter

* fostering and supporting networks, relationships and partnerships for the organisation - artistic, government, community, sponsors, and media.

The position is offered as a part-time (0.8) one-year renewable contract.
