PIXEL & FRIENDS… the colour show - AUDITION NOTICE FOR MALE LEAD

Theatre of Image – Sydney’s Premier theatre for children and families will be holding auditions to cast the male lead

(Character:  ‘Line’) in our upcoming touring production of Pixel & Friends… the colour shot

AUDTIONS WILL BE HELD AT: NIDA (Anzac Parade, Kensington) - Rehearsal room 2.
ON: Wednesday 19 November (between 9.30am and 5pm)

Please read the below information carefully to see if the 2009 season dates of Pixel & Friends are potentially viable for you…

Dates: We will be doing 2 x tours of Pixel & Friends… the colour show in 2009.

Dancers MUST be available to commit to BOTH tours and all rehearsals if they commit to the show.

TOUR 1
Rehearsals: 11 May- 29 May 2009.
Season: 1 June- 20 June 2009.

TOUR 2
Season: 31 August -17 October 2009.

Basic Character Outline: The role of ‘Line’ requires strong contemporary dance ability and acting/characterisation skills
‘Line’ – Strong, a leader, tall in height, playful, adventurous, chameleon - and can tap dance too preferably

Story Outline: Pixel and Friends… the colour show is a playful and vivid journey through the colour spectrum – told in dance, live music and digital animation. Join Pixel – a little girl who has lost her colour. Sad and lost in space, she meets a boy called Line. Together they take us on an amazing tour of the colour spectrum to find Pixel’s lost colour and meet new friends – Contrast, Shape, Rhythm, Texture, Form, Light and Space.
