LAGAW GUB – ISLAND WIND
BlakDance Australia is conducting professional development workshops for Teachers through Australia’s first Torres Strait Island Dance kit for schools.
Suitable for all Teachers, the workshops will take you on a journey of life in the Torres Straits as expressed by Dennis Newie through songs and dance.
Conducted in a Culturally appropriate manner the workshops will allow Teachers to pass on the songs and dances to their students, providing them with a new learning experience of Australian Culture.
Be amongst the first to experience Australian Indigenous Culture through dance and the Kala Lagaw Ya language of the Torres Strait.
