Holiday Dance Camp
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY: Western Sydney Dance Action (WSDA) will facilitate a holiday dance camp for kids consisting of everything from Fairy Ballet right through to Bollywood Hip Hop and African Dance and Drumming! Over three days students will cover four genres of dance, learning the latest steps and hottest repertoire under the expert guidance of Sydney’s finest professional dancers and teachers. On the third day, students will get the chance to show and tell their new skills whereby parents are invited to watch a demonstration of repertoire covered during the last ten minutes of each class on the last day of camp.
Classes are facilitated for children with limited dance experience right through to elementary standard. Some previous dance class experience is preferred but not essential.
Wednesday 6 October to Friday 8 October
Full attendance over the three days, either morning session, afternoon session or both is recommended and preferred.
AGES: 5 years to 8 years
SESSION 1: 9:45am to 12:30pm Fairy Ballet & Junior Musical Theatre SESSION 2: 1:30pm to 4:00pm African Dance & Drumming and Bollywood Hip Hop
AGES: 9 years to 12 years
SESSION 1: 9:45am to 12:30pm Musical Theatre & Lyrical Jazz SESSION 2: 1:30pm to 4:00pm Bollywood Hip Hop and African Dance & Drumming
VENUE: Connect Studios, Connection Arcade, Darcy Street, Parramatta
COST: $20.00 per session OR $30.00 per day WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable casual sporting or dance wear attire. Socks and lace up sneakers must be worn, bring ballet shoes or jazz shoes - not essential. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a drink.
