HEPHZIBAH TINTNER FELLOWSHIP for Choreographers 2011 - $40,000
Applications are invited from choreographers for the Hephzibah Tintner Fellowship to undertake training and/or study in 2011. Candidates must be in the early stages of their career, and show potential to create dance for major performing arts.
Training will consist of a program of mentorship and work with Sydney Dance Company, The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia and Sydney Symphony, to be tailored to the successful applicant. Candidates are encouraged to submit ideas for additional opportunities.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents and aged between 17 and 38. Preference will be given to those applicants who have a strong connection with Sydney.
20 minute show-reel DVD materials of the applicant’s choreography are mandatory, to support the application.
Short-listed applicants must be available to attend interviews in mid- September 2010.
All interviews will be held in Sydney.
