Gina has a B.A. in Dance from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. After graduation she opened the Fremantle Dance and Movement Centre, offering Contemporary Dance classes and workshops for adults and children. The centre also offered classes in Feldenkrais and Alexander technique for dancers. During this time she was also on the Board of Cultural Technology Ltd., an organisation that supported the first online presence for many of Western Australia’s Arts Organisations. Gina moved to Sydney to undertake an M.A. in Dance at the University of Western Sydney, completing a thesis on ‘Sense of Place in Dance’. During her time in Sydney, alongside teaching dance, she also worked as Online Communications Officer and Editor for Australian Museums Online and Screenrights Australia. It was in Sydney that Gina discovered Flamenco, later travelling to live and work in Spain for six years - working as a dancer with renowned flamenco choreographers such as Luis de Luis. Recently returned to Australia, Gina is currently the Marketing and Administration Officer at Ausdance NSW.
