freshly squeezed
An evening of short experimental works by new performance makers
Thu 19 - Sat 21 August @ 8pm
Studio One, UNSW
Tickets $10
freshly squeezed is an evening of short works by new performance makers probing and dissecting the notion of the backyard shed. Jammed with dance and movement, new media, puppetry, beat poetry and theatre, freshly squeezed is a delightfully diverse night of performance.
In 2009 stagejuice created the acclaimed multimedia performance work, in the shadows (PACT Theatre), “an ambitious, bold and complex work by a group of clearly dedicated and strong performers” (Augusta Supple, www.augustasupple.com, April 2009).
2010 sees the launch of freshly squeezed - a stagejuice initiative that provides Sydney’s most exciting emerging artists with the opportunity to form new collaborations and undertake bold and innovative exploration. These works have been created over a month of workshopping, investigating and collaborating as an ensemble.
