NEW DANCE SPACE RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR WESTERN SYDNEY
Ausdance NSW is delighted to announce a new Residency Program for the NSW dance sector, DanceWest, supported through the Arts NSW Strategic Industry Development funding category.
DanceWest is a new initiative that will provide 20 weeks of studio rehearsal space per annum at state of art dance facilities in Parramatta, Connect Studios. This initiative is funded through Ausdance NSW, Arts NSW, Parramatta City Council and supported by Western Sydney Dance Action.
Call for proposals are now open and Ausdance NSW invites independent dance artists, collectives and companies to submit proposals for the 2011 program commencing March 2011. The key objective of DanceWest is to build capacity for the dance sector, by providing selected Western Sydney-based independent artists with suitable resources for the development of their dance practice, creative development and rehearsal of work.
Applications close: January 14th 2011.
