CALL FOR PERFORMERS
Now in its tenth year, The City of Sydney is planning its inaugural Twilight Chinese New Year Parade, which will be held on Sunday 1st February, 2009.
The City of Sydney’s most recent Chinese New Year parade had massive crowds watching along George Street all the way to the Chinese Gardens. The Parade included a cast of 2,500 performers and community groups from all around Sydney.
This project will allow performers to gain experience in outdoor events, the rehearsal creative process, work alongside professional artists and culminating in a spectacular performance in front 80,000 people.
Rehearsals will take place during December and mainly January.
We are seeking Asian and non-Asian Volunteer performers for the Twilight Parade. So, if you are:
Contemporary dancers
Fire twirlers
Scooter riders
Bike riders
Come and join the FUN!
