The Blue Mountains Bite Sized season will be presented at the Wentworth Falls School of Arts on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th April and choreographic works will be selected by a panel of industry professionals who reside in the Mountains including Kathy Driscoll (Master of Arts in Dance Research, New York University) Garth Welch (foundation member Australian Ballet and former dancer Sydney Dance Company) and Helene Markstein (Master of Performing Arts in Dance, UWS)
Works will be selected that best demonstrate quality and innovation as well as the capacity to contribute to the development of a sustainable arts infrastructure in the Blue Mountains. 20% of the program is eligible to come from choreographers outside the region who best demonstrate a desire to build a relationship with the Blue Mountains region either through further presentation of their work or collaboration with Mountains based dancers or choreographers.
This event is something the Blue Mountains dance and physical theatre community will truly benefit from by providing the opportunity to showcase new work, unearth independent talent and launch emerging and young artists.
