Applications are now being invited for funding in the 2010-11 financial year, for projects commencing between 1 August 2010 and 30 June 2011. Activities must be completed by 30 September 2011.

Project proposals from individuals or organisations must demonstrate the ability to achieve AKF’s goals in line with the AKF Strategic Plan 2009-12 including:

•    Increased public awareness of Australia in Korea, and of Korea in Australia, and the importance of the bilateral relationship

•    Increase Australians’ capacity to effectively engage with Korea.

In 2010-11 funding priority will be given to projects in Korea or Australia which will celebrate the bilateral Year of Friendship 2011, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Australia and Korea, and have potential to build long-term, sustainable links between the two countries.
